Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform with VMware NSX – Part 1

How do you accelerate the deployment of business-critical applications without compromising security? How do you define dynamic security policies to protect against advanced threats while keeping pace with data center virtualization? VMware and Palo Alto Networks have partnered to deliver a solution that combines fast provisioning of network and security services with next-generation security in the data center. In this lab, learn how to deploy the Palo Alto Networks virtualized next-generation firewall VM-1000-HV with VMware NSX to secure VM to VM communications.

Win the War with Zero Trust

Today’s networks aren’t set up to withstand modern cyberwarfare. As enterprises embrace cloud-based delivery and software-defined data centers, you need to stay one step ahead and assume a trust no-one approach. A ‘Zero Trust’ approach to security – know your data, where it is, and which users or devices are supposed to have access to it – becomes fundamental. The technological innovations of today, next-generation firewalls, virtual network infrastructure, and orchestration, make the evolution to Zero Trust easier than ever.

Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Security Platform with VMware NSX – Part 2

How do you accelerate the deployment of business-critical applications without compromising security? How do you define dynamic security policies to protect against advanced threats while keeping pace with data center virtualization? VMware and Palo Alto Networks have partnered to deliver a solution that combines fast provisioning of network and security services with next-generation security in the data center. Fuel Fireside Chats: Sharing the Next-Generation Firewall Experience

A small group of Fuel members will share their stories of migrating to and utilizing Palo Alto Networks firewalls. If you want to learn more about the differences in migrating from different firewalls, how the next-generation firewall changed policy planning and management, and what other users are considering as additional layers of their cyber security strategy, this is a can’t miss session.

1:15 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Breakout Sessions

Advanced Endpoint Protection – Part 1

The endpoint is the number one target for cyberattacks. Come join us in this hands-on session to learn how to defeat the adversary at the endpoint with Palo Alto Networks Advanced Endpoint Protection. You will learn how to:

  • Break down the sophisticated threat lifecycle and chain-like nature of exploits
  • Prevent file and network-based exploits originating from executable or data files
  • Leverage cloud intelligence to enhance zero-day threat protection

Pre-requisite: Participants must have a laptop with an HTML5-compatible browser.

Shared Experiences: Networking Activity

All attendees are encouraged to participate in our small group dialogue sessions, which will focus on topics selected by our attendees. In a small group setting, users will share ideas and best practices on topics including: Breaking Threats, Cloud, Endpoint & Network Security, Emerging Mobile Considerations and Analytics. This is a great way to connect with other local users.

Deploying PANW in the Public Cloud – A Technical Deep Dive

Defined as a ready-made compute, networking, and storage environment, the public cloud brings ubiquitous access to users, rapid scalability to address workload “bursts,” and infrastructure consistency. Learn how ensuring your applications and data are kept safe from attackers is your responsibility. We’ll then cover how to tools like application enablement policies can protect you against known and unknown threats.
