Andrew Kahl
CEO
Andrew Kahl brings to Backbox over 28 years of industry experience and serves as CEO and a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to BackBox, Andrew was VP, Customer Success at NetApp, and the first Chief Customer Officer at Sailpoint. Andrew was also Co-Founder of CREDANT Technologies, a leading security software firm that was acquired by Dell Technologies.

Josh Stephens
CTO
Josh Stephens is a 30-year veteran of the network engineering and cybersecurity fields. Josh's career began in the US Air Force as an active-duty airman focused on network and systems engineering and cybersecurity. Josh left the Air Force to join International Network Services (INS), where he led several large network design, network management, and network security projects. Josh was then a part of the founding team at SolarWinds, led product strategy and engineering there for many years, and founded their user community, Thwack. Josh has held senior leadership positions at several other companies including Itential, Idera, ActivTrak, and Evo Security. Josh is an avid angel investor and serves as an advisor and board member for early-stage tech companies.

Mike Calonica
SVP Sales
Mike Calonica is SVP of Sales at BackBox and brings over 13 years of industry experience. Prior, Mike was VP of Commercial Sales at HYCU, VP of Global Sales at Wazuh, and VP of Americas at AlienVault, a leading security firm that was acquired by AT&T.

Isabelle Papoulias
SVP Global Marketing
Isabelle Papoulias has over 25 years of experience in a range of B2B global marketing roles working with iconic Fortune 500 brands as well as SaaS start-ups. Before joining BackBox, Isabelle was CMO of Mediafly a Sales Enablement technology leader, where she also had Sales and Operations responsibilities. She is passionate about partnering with all areas of the organization to drive awareness and revenue growth for BackBox.

Jim Burglin
VP, Customer Experience
Jim is responsible for ensuring that BackBox has a global customer strategy that drives and influences excellence in every customer interaction. Prior to joining BackBox, Jim was the Head of Customer Success at Jump Cloud where he built a global customer success team responsible for building deep valuable relationships for enterprise customers around the world.

Richard Phillips
VP, Infrastructure & Technology
Richard has 33 years of experience in Software Development. He has had roles in designing, building, deploying, and supporting Enterprise Software from the desktop to the cloud.

Kathy Schneeberg
VP, HR & People Operations
Kathy leads Human Resources and is focused on building a culture that brings fulfillment and satisfaction for employees. Kathy is a veteran of the high-tech industry and brings over 20 years of executive experience to BackBox. Kathy was previously the VP of HR at PICKUP Now, an on-demand delivery service.

Ben Burge
VP, FP&A
Ben has 12 years of experience in FP&A. Prior to BackBox, he has held various leadership roles at Alkami Technology, Synacor Inc., and RealPage.

Christy Perkins
Director of Accounting
Christy is responsible for accounting, revenue recognition, financial statements, and expense management. Christy has held senior finance & accounting roles at Alkami Technologies, and CREDANT Technologies, a leading security software firm that was acquired by Dell Technologies.

Rita brings extensive experience in all aspects of go-to-market strategy and operations to the BackBox board. She has led Enterprise software companies through periods of high growth, most recently as CEO of ActivTrak and as CMO of AlienVault, a security software company acquired by AT&T. She led marketing for SolarWinds leading up to and through an IPO in 2009.

Chris Pacitti

He founded Elsewhere Partners after identifying a tremendous unmet opportunity to invest and scale software companies that don’t fit the traditional VC model. Chris spent nearly two-decades at Austin Ventures, where he co-led technology investing.
